"There is such a strong sense of support at Queenwood, especially from the teachers, who are incredibly generous with their time.”

Adie spent a gap year volunteering in Latin America, before returning to Australia to study a Bachelor of Philosophy at ANU.

Queenwood shaped the way I think. Through assemblies with Ms Stone — covering everything from gerrymandering to the stock market — I learned to think critically and see the world through a broader lens. It also instilled in me a strong sense of service. Working with Ms Tamberlin as a Social Justice Prefect helped me understand the importance of giving back, not just as a responsibility, but as a lifelong commitment.

When I think of Queenwood, the word that comes to mind first is community. There is such a strong sense of support, especially from the teachers, who are incredibly generous with their time. I’d also say generosity, liberal education, and a worldview that encouraged us to think beyond ourselves.

I hope in the next 100 years, Queenwood continues to give girls the confidence and skills to lead change and to shape the world they want to see.
